Master Club Practice This Afternoon

This afternoon there will be a special Master Club practice for the regional competition.  The children will be fed lunch and will be cared for until the evening service.

Don’t forget to set your clocks FORWARD one hour next Saturday night.  If you forget, you will miss Sunday school!

 

Lonnie Mattingly Visiting Today

It is our honor to have Lonnie Mattingly and his wife Nancy with us today.  Pastor Mattingly has a tremendous amount of wisdom and insight from his decades of pastoring the Shawnee Baptist Church in Louisville.  I have asked Pastor Mattingly to come and speak to us on “Things every Church Needs To Know.”  I am confident this will be a very profitable day for our church as the Lord works through one of his chosen vessels of honor.

 

Spring Campaign – Witnesses In Jerusalem

Our Spring Campaign is right around the corner.  This year our campaign theme is, “Witnesses in Jerusalem.”  Acts 1:8 says, “…and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  The first area listed is Jerusalem.  That was the area closest to the disciples.  We are to witness to the ends of the earth, but we are not to forget our own backyard.   During this campaign we are focusing on reach the people closest to us.  Each Sunday will focus on a different group of local individuals.  The themes of these special days are:

 

April 4^th            Friend and Family Sunday (Easter Sunday)        

April 11^th          Bus Family Sunday      

April 18^th          Civil Servant Sunday

April 25^th          Vocation Sunday

Our Sunday morning sermon series entitled “Growing Christians:  topics for growing Christians to understand” has study notes to accompany each topic.  The study guides are available in the back of the auditorium.  The study guide is also available online along with the audio file of the sermon

If you have trusted Christ as your personal Savior and are trusting in Christ and Christ alone for your eternal security and have been scripturally baptized in deep water as a picture of Salvation, we invite you to consider making Calvary Baptist your church home.  You may join by either transfer of letter from a church of like faith or by statement of Faith.  Anyone that wishes to join the church is asked to discuss their salvation testimony, baptism, and their desire for membership with the Pastor before coming before the church for membership.  Everyone who wishes to join unite with Calvary Baptist Church must agree with our doctrinal statement of faith.
