It is finally sunny outside! What a beautiful morning the Lord has given us. The weather for cast is sunny with a high of 60 degrees today. On one hand, I am so very glad that it is getting warmer, but on the other hand I am a little concerned. You see, the warm weather of spring usually means that some Christians will start missing more church. It ought not be that way, but it is. Let me challenge you to be faithful to the house of the Lord when God's people gather! Don't let a picnic, athletics, yard work, or fishing keep you from church. None of those things will strengthen your soul half as much as the preaching of God's Word and the fellowship with His people.
I would like to ask you to pray for my great aunt. Her name is Martha Jones. Aunt Martha is as Godly of a lady as a person could ever meet. She is a tremendous prayer warrior and posses a true zeal for the Lord. Martha went in for surgery last week to have her gallbladder removed and found out that she has cancer in several major organs and it is in an advanced state. Medically speaking, there is little that can be done at this point. Please lift her up in your prayers today as her family is coping with this news.
Continue to pray for T.J. Eberhardt. T.J.'s wife Katie and their unborn daughter both passed away on Friday. Katie suffered a brain aneurysm a little over a week ago. The doctors did all that they could to save her child, but the Lord had other plans. Katie knew Christ as her Saviour. This brings comfort to her husband, but his heart is still so very heavy. Katie was on 24 years old.
I apologize for the delay in getting the last two messages in our Growing Christian series on line. The last two messages were on "D", the devil. They are now available along with the study notes. If you were not able to be here yesterday, you will want to listen to Lonnie Mattingly's messages. The Lord used them to encourage our hearts.
GO TELL,
Pastor Coley
